I wanna make it clear that, as mad as I am at Blaine, I’m not abandoning him as a character. These things happen. I’m not forgiving of him right now, but I know these things happen. It’s a story, and when Blaine first started as a side character, he was a favorite. A lot of my still burning anger is part personal experience with these issues as well as having a serendipitously Karofsky week (there was a red varsity jacket and a Sees buterscotch candy that showed up in my life right before the episode aired). Plus, I play Dave in an RP. A Dave that actually stepped aside for Klaine in game and is now happy with someone else. I have a bit of character bleed over that is also extremely mad at Blaine. Not because he wants Kurt, but because Kurt is still very much someone he considers a friend. (I have that same bleed over watching Switched At Birth, since his bestie in-game is from that canon.)
Regardless, I still have hope for good writing in his character, I love Darren, and I thought that last night’s episode, in spite of the writer’s stupid decision to break up ALL THE COUPLES, was a pretty strong one.
